Rama went to the forest

To keep his father’s trust.

He was about to get the throne,

Leaving all aside , he had gone.

Lakshmana was not asked to go,

But he went along with his bro.

To serve him in the forest,

To stay awake, while he rest.

Bharata came to know all this later.

He was supposed to take it over.

“This kingdom belongs to my brother”,

All did advice, but he didn’t bother.

He started all the way to forest.

Met Rama, he tried his level best.

To convince him, then he cried,

But Rama refused to abide .

These great brothers are our ideal.

But look at what happens for real.

Siblings of today even kill each other,

For silly things that make us wonder.

Our mother is earth, Father God.

We all are kids in their abode.

Let’s live our lives for each other,

Silly fights, do not bother.

Swami Vivekananda on Muhammad

In National on January 27, 2013 at 3:24 am

The Yogi says there is a great danger in stumbling upon this state. In a good many cases there is the danger of the brain being deranged, and, as a rule, you will find that all those men, however great they were, who had stumbled upon this super conscious state without understanding it, groped in the dark, and generally had, along with their knowledge, some quaint superstition. They opened themselves to hallucinations. Mohammed claimed that the Angel Gabriel came to him in a cave one day and took him on the heavenly horse, Harak, and he visited the heavens. But with all that, Mohammed spoke some wonderful truths. If you read the Koran, you find the most wonderful truths mixed with superstitions. How will you explain it? That man was inspired, no doubt, but that inspiration was, as it were, stumbled upon. He was not a trained Yogi, and did not know the reason of what he was doing. Think of the good Mohammed did to the world, and think of the great evil that has been done through his fanaticism! Think of the millions massacred through his teachings, mothers bereft of their children, children made orphans, whole countries destroyed, millions upon millions of people killed!
So we see this danger by studying the lives of great teachers like Mohammed and others. Yet we find, at the same time, that they were all inspired. Whenever a prophet got into the superconscious state by heightening his emotional nature, he brought away from it not only some truths, but some fanaticism also, some superstition which injured the world as much as the greatness of the teaching helped.

Swami Vivekananda on Book based religion

In National on January 27, 2013 at 3:18 am

People who deny the efficacy of any rationalistic investigation into religion seem to me somewhat to be contradicting themselves. For instance, the Christian claims that his religion is the only true one, because it was revealed to so-and-so. The Mohammedan makes the same claim for his religion; his is the only true one, because it was revealed to so-and-so. But the Christian says to the Mohammedan, “Certain parts of your ethics do not seem to be right. For instance, your books say, my Mohammedan friend, that an infidel may be converted to the religion of Mohammed by force, and if he will not accept the Mohammedan religion he may be killed; and any Mohammedan who kills such an infidel will get a sure entry into heaven, whatever may have been his sins or misdeeds.” The Mohammedan will retort by saying, “It is right for me to do so, because my book enjoins it. It will be wrong on my part not to do so.” The Christian says, “But my book does not say so.” The Mohammedan replies, “I do not know; I am not bound by the authority of your book; my book says, ‘Kill all the infidels’. How do you know which is right and which is wrong? Surely what is written in my book is right and what your book says, ‘Do not kill,’ is wrong. You also say the same thing, my Christian friend; you say that what Jehovah
declared to the Jews is right to do, and what he forbade them to do is wrong. So say I, Allah declared in my book that certain things should be done, and that certain things should not be done, and that is all the test of right and wrong.” In spite of that the Christian is not satisfied; he insists on a comparison of the morality of the Sermon on the Mount with the morality of the Koran. How is this to be decided? Certainly not by the books, because the books, fighting between themselves, cannot be the judges. Decidedly then we have to admit that there is something more universal than these books, something higher than all the ethical codes that are in the world, something which can judge between the strength of inspirations of different nations. Whether we declare it boldly, clearly, or not — it is evident that here we appeal to reason.

Now, the question arises if this light of reason is able to judge between inspiration and inspiration, and if this light can uphold its standard when the quarrel is between prophet and prophet, if it has the power of understanding anything whatsoever of religion. If it has not, nothing can determine the hopeless fight of books and prophets which has been going on through ages; for it means that all religions are mere lies, hopelessly contradictory, without any constant idea of ethics. The proof of religion depends on the truth of the constitution of man, and not on any books. These books are the outgoings, the effects of man’s constitution; man made these books. We are yet to see the books that made man.

RSS and Islam: Where they stand on Women

In National on January 8, 2013 at 8:18 am

The thought of comparing RSS ideology with Quran came to my mind when I saw a celebrated member of Political party comparing RSS with Taliban in context with the alleged comments made by RSS chief on marriage. The comments made by RSS chief were misquoted by some news agencies, and the anti RSS bogeys of political parties were quick to condemn it. They said it is anti women mindset of RSS, others said RSS should come out of its medivial mindset. Etc. While I have my own reservations against RSS for not going legally against many news channels, I found it intresting to compare and contrast RSS with Islam. That celebrated member of Aam Aadmi party was saying “RSS is Taliban of India, if you do not condemn RSS, you are also Taliban”. The same members of Aam Aadmi party went once to Imam Bukhari to get support, and even they removed Bharat ma photo which once decorated the stage where Anna fasted. Comparing RSS with Taliban is the best way to defame an organization. We abuse people by calling them dogs and anti RSS lobby in media and politics defame RSS by calling them Taliban.

According to secular narrative Hindus are not represented by RSS and nor is Taliban or any other organization represent muslims. I agree with them and I think Muslims can be best represented by Quran and Prophet Muhammad. But what about RSS? RSS is to Guruji as Muslims are to Muhammad. Golwarkar and Muhammad founded the ideologies of RSS and Islam. Seculars do not compare and contrast RSS ideology rooted in Guruji’s book “Bunch of Thoughts “ and Islamic ideology rooted in “Quran” for obvious reasons which may become clear to you after you complete reading this write up.

Let us first understand what the RSS stand on women is RSS is known for the chants “Bharat mata ki Jai”. Even a person unrelated with RSS shouts “Bharat mata ki Jai”, he is called an RSS agent. The photo of Bharatma was removed from the stage of India Against Corruption because it is anti Islam. If RSS has any deity they pray to, that is Bharat ma, the female form of God. Bharat ma is associated with Shakthi (Power), Vidhya (Knowledge) and Lakshmi (Wealth). So ideologically RSS is not anti female, but it respects and adores the female powers. What about practice? RSS is a men only organization, but in 1936 another RSS was formed which is named Rashtreeya Sevika Samithi. It is parallel organization for women which still operates in various parts of India. So if RSS thought women should be restricted to house hold, will they teach them martial arts ? Many of the organs of Sangh Parivar has women leaders. So RSS respect women ideologically and in practice too.

What about Islam? Your wives are a place of sowing of seed for you, so come to your place of cultivation however you wish and put forth [righteousness] for yourselves. And fear Allah and know that you will meet Him. And give good tidings to the believers. (Q 2:223). What does one make out from this verse? Wives are being compared to a cultivating land? Seculars who found convenient to distort Mohanji Bhagwat comment do not condemn this ridiculous statement in a holy book followed by billions in the world, on the other hand they drag Swami Vivekananda masculine pose, Ramayana, Draupadi etc whenever a feminist issue is discussed.

swayam, Sangh Parivar, Malwa Prant Ekatrikaran

Ideologically Islam gives a secondary status to women. What in practice? The feminist /liberals who justify slutwalk do not condemn the Burqa worn by muslim women. While many of them will say Burqa is not forced upon them, but it is not the reality. I know various Muslim families which force women to wear Burqa. India is a state which has banned Bigamy and also it is a crime to be bigamous. But Muslim males can marry up to four wives and many people exploit this loop hole in law. Seculars and liberals do not condemn this too. The Muslim Divorce law is also discriminatory against women.

Seculars and liberals find it convenient to bash RSS for their views but are totally silent about what goes on in Muslim society. Only when they start criticizing Muslim community in various issues, can they be called real seculars. Till then secularism is only another political ideology like Communism.

Startling CIA findings on Longevity & Hindu Spiritualism: Sure to Make you feel Thrilled | GroundReport

The CIA should come clean about this experiment. The veil of secrecy should be lifted and the world should be told the truth. I have picked up this story from elsewhere on the net.

The loss of a small 47 gm ancient Hindu brass-like metal idol of extreme antiquity called the Kalpa Vigraha has caused the American Central Intelligence Agency considerable anxiety. This unusual disclosure was made recently by a retired CIA agent on condition of absolute anonymity.

Firstly, what was the importance of this idol; what was the CIA doing with an ancient Hindu relic; and why the angst?  source- google

==Buddha Statues Vandalized by Islamic Jihadists===

Place: Lucknow, India.
Date: 17Aug 2012

This is extremely unfortunate to inform that Buddha Statue in Luckhnow has been vandalized by Islamic Jihadist. After the Friday Namaz, about 2000 muslims started violent protests in city vandalizing shops, streets, parks etc. They did not spare even the divine statue of Gautam Buddha.

We all know this is not new, as this ia happening for about 1400 years. But the biggest question is on very faith. How such violence errupts after prayer? All such events happen after the friday Namaz.

If this is the results of prayer, should one choose such prayer and such ideology?

It is high time for each human on earth to ask hard questions including their very faith. If such violent is allwoed to prevail, there is no doubts, humanty is in great danger.

Here I would also like to request all Hindus, that Buddhism, Jainism and Sikhism should be considered in Sanatan Dharma and this is the responsibility of each Hindu to protect worship places of Buddhists, Jains and Sikhs too.

Description of Hells in Sanatana Dharma

Photo: Description of HELLS.

Every body is afraid of hell. But nobody performs good activities to avoid hell. Man should know the bad activities because of which he goes to hell. In many scriptures we find details about hells and sufferings therein. Last chapter of fifth chanto of Srimad Bhagavatam Purana deals with this subject.

King parikshit inquired about various hells:

narka nama bhagavan kim deshvisesa athva bahistrilokya ahosdvidantral iti. (bhagavata. 5-26-4)

O my Gurudeva, Sri Sukadeva Goswami ; Are there hells? Are hells on the face of this earth or are they located outside the universe or inside it? I want to know about location of all hells.

Sri Sukdeva maharaj said,

Antral eva trijagatyastu dishi dakshinsyam-adhstat bhumeruparistachch jalad yasyam-agnisvattadya :

Oh King Parikshit ! Hells lie within this universe. They are below the earth and above the water on the southern side of the Earth.. There reside the group of the manes called the Agniswattas (Pitraganas).

All hells are controlled by Yamaraj who is son of Sun-God. Yamaraj is brother of Yamuna river being daughter of Sun-God. Hells are department of punishment. Yamaraj is ruler of hells. He inflicts punishment to those who violet the commands of penal code of the Almighty Lord. There are 28 hells. They are;-

1. Tamisra 2. Andhatamisra, 3. Raurava, 4. Maha-raurava, 5. Kumbhi - paka, 6. Kaal- Sutra, 7. Asipatra-vana, 8. Sukar -mukha, 9. Andha kupa, 10. Krimi -bhojana, 11. Sandansa, 12. Tapta-surmi, 13. Vajra kantak salmali. 14. Vaitarni, 15. Puyoda, 16. Prananirodha 17. Visasana, 18. Lala-bhaksha, 19. Sarameya-dana, 20. Avichimat, 21. Ayahpaana, 22. Kshara-kardama, 23. Raksho -gan-bhojana, 24. Shul-proto, 25. Danda-suka , 26. Avata-nirodhana, 27. Paryavartana 28. Suchi-mukha. ?

These are twenty eight hells, places where tortures of various kinds is given by servants of Yamaraj according to the sinful activities. Whoever commits sins he goes to any of these hells. He may be x y z..

1.Tamisra Hell :- Who goes to this hell. Man who takes way wealth of others by fraud or kidnaps child or wife of other by force, goes to this hell. Servants of Yamaraj forcibly throw him into this Tamisra hell.

In this hell there is only darkness and no water and no food is given. They are belaboured with cudgels, and severely scolded and with other tortures. Jiva is filled with dismay and falls into a swoon that very moment but nobody has mercy to protect him because everybody is suffering there like him. Who protects whom?

2. Andha-tamisra hell ; Who goes to this hell? One who enjoys the wife, daughter, sister etc., of another and deceive others, goes to this hell. Therefore man should not have sexual relation with the wife, daughter and sister of another. Unauthorised relation with any women is cause of our sufferings in this hell. Illicit relation takes us to this hell. Enjoyments always gives suffering in due course of time. Man is thrown into this hell like uprooted tree. He is deprived of everything. This hell is full of blinding darkness. Dreadful servants of Yamaraj inflict severe various kinds of punishments according to nature of bad karmas.

3. Raurava hell ; Who goes to Raurava narka? One who has attachment with his wife, husband, children and other relations and nourishes them from day to day through hostility to other living beings in this world, goes to this Raurava hell. He also identifies himself with his body. Such a person goes to Raurava Naraka. One who thinks that wife, children, house and other belongings, belong to him only, goes to this hell. Here everything belongs to God and not to us. Nothing is there in this world for our enjoyment. Only God is enjoyer of all things. So we should not claim that everything belongs to us for our enjoyment. This is illusion or Maya.

All creatures ( Jivas) killed by him are born in this Raurava hell as Rurus. They kill the same fellow who killed them on this earth. Rurus are more ferocious than a snake. These Rurus kill the same fellow who previously killed them, in same way they were killed by him. Raurava hell is full of Rurus and is very danger.

4. Maharaurav hell : Who goes to this hell? This is more danger than raurava naraka. In this hell a kind of Rurus called krvyada live . These Krvyadas eat flesh of those who come to this hell. By nature they are flesh- eater. Who are thrown into this Hell. A man who nourishes his own body and hates other living beings, is thrown into this hell by servants of Yamaraj.

5.Kumbhi- paka hell: Who goes to this hell? Those who eat flesh of man also. They are so cruel that they kill and cook beasts and birds alive and eat. They go to this Kumbhipaka hell. They are Rakshas. They are thrown into this hell. Servants of Yamaraj fry them mercilessly in boiling oil. Meat-eating is prohibited at any cost. Whose meat we eat here , after this birth they eat our flesh.

6.Kalasutra hell : Who goes to this hell? Those who are hostile to their father, mother, Gurudeva, Brahmin and Vedas, they are forcily thrown into this hell. In this Kalasutra hell, earth is made of copper sheet. Copper sheets are heated by fire. This hell is exclusively heated above by sun and below by fire and becomes very hot like fire. This hell has circumference of ten thousand Yojanas. Mind and body are tormented with hunger and thirst, yet man continues to stay there for as many thousand years as there are hair on the body of beast . He is not better than animal, now sitting, now lying down and rolling about, springing on his feet and running in every direction restlessly . He cries for help but nobody helps him because those who are there, all are suffering like him.

7. Asipatra-vana hell ( cluster of trees having sword-like leaves) ; Who goes to this hell? One who does not follow vedic culture or the Vedic teachings and accepts heretic creed, is thrown into this hell by servants of Yamaraj. They beat him by whips in this hell. He runs there to and fro with all his limbs being torn by the sword like leaves with shape-edged on both side of Palmyra trees in that grove, and crying. Ah ! I am finished he drops down unconscious at every step through excessive agony and apostate as he is reaps the fruits of the sin attaching to heretics.

8. Sukar-mukha hell: Who goes to this hell? If king or his officers punish undeserving brahmina go to this hell. Limbs of their body are crushed by most powerful hands like piece of sugarcane is crushed in a cane-crushing machine. These cruel kings and their officers are filled with great consternation shrieking in a piteous tone and now fainting , even like men who were detained by them here, though not found guilty. So before inflicting any kind of punishment king should know as to who is really guilty. To punish a man who is not guilty, is a great sin because of which punisher goes and suffers in this Sukarmukh hell.

9.Andhakupa hell : Who goes to this hell? One who follows rules and regulation of Varna-Ashrama divisions of society viz Brahmina, Kshatriya, Vaisya and Sudra; Brahmachary, Householder, Vanprasthi and Sannyasi.. These are called stages of life created by cosmic Person Himself. Even after following these varna-ashram social - tradition, if a man inflicts pain on the creatures whose means of living is sucking the human blood determined by God Himself, he goes to this hell. He hated and killed dear and other beasts, and reptiles, mosquitoes and lice (louse), bugs and flies and other living beings because of which he is thrown into this Andhakupa hell. All creatures killed by him, take revenge here in this hell. Jiva become restless in darkness.

10. Krimi-bhojan hell : Who goes to his hell? One who eats everything whatever he gets and does not give share to others; and does not perform the five sacrifices which should be done by householders. He goes to this hell. It is said in scriptures that a householder should take his meal only after he has fed a stranger waiting at his door, the servants of house, the young children and the aged of the family, married sisters and daughters and so on who are present at the time. If one does not follow all these rules he goes to Krimibhojan hell. It is worst hell. Man is born in this hell as a worm in a pool full of worms. This hell is a hundred thousand Yojanain in extent.

Those who ate food a part of which had not been given to others and not offered as oblation to fire, they live in this hell as worms and are tortured by the servants of Yamaraj.

11. Sandansa hell ; Who goes to this hell? Those who take away by theft or force gold, or jewels etc. of Brahmina or otherwise than in any emergency warranting such a course even to another, go to Sandansa hell. In this hell servants of Yamaraj, tear with red-hot balls of iron or pairs of nippers the skin of men. Therefore one should not take away by theft or force the things blonging to others.

12. Tapta-surmi hell ; Who goes to this hell? Man who has sexual intercourse with unauthorised woman and woman who unites sexually with a man unworthy of being so approached, are thrown in this hell. In this hell servants of Yamaraj force the man to embrace a red-hot iron image of a woman and the woman a similar images of a male. They are beaten with whips by the servants of Yamaraj if they do not embrace red-iron image of man and woman. They suffer and cry but no mercy upon them. They must suffer because of illicit relation with a man or a woman.

13.Vajra-kantaka-salmali hell : Who goes to this hell? A man who has sexual intercourse with all including animals goes to this hell. In this hell the servants of Yamaraja forcely place man on a silk-cotton tree bristling with adamantine thorns and drag him down along the thorns so as to tear his body. Man cries but useless.

14. Vaitarni hell : Who goes to this hell? This is river full of flood, ordure, urine , pus ‘blood, hair, nails, bones fat, flesh and marrow. Men belonging to ruling class or officers of a king who transgress the bounds of piety as prescribed by the Vedas and has not embraced a heretic creed fall into this river called Vaitarni river. They are thrown by the servants of Yamaraj because they violated restrictions imposed by religion. They are gnawed in this river by hosts of aquatic animals. Yet not separated from their body or life and sustained by their own sin. They feel greatly distressed by thought of bitter fruits of their sins or bad deeds.

15.Puyoda hell : Who goes to this hell? Those who born in high pedigree but kept low-caste woman in their house for sensual enjoyments and do not accept purity, pious conduct and restrictions about feeding and drinking. They lead a life of beasts abandoning all shames. Such persons are thrown into this ocean-like pond known as Puyoda hell. This hell is full of brim with pus, faeces, urine, phlegm and dirt, and feed stuff. Servants of Yamaraj punish in various ways here in this hell.

16.Prana-nirodha hell : Who goes to this hell? Brahmins and others who rearing dogs and donkeys and taking delight in chase, actually kill ani mals, are thrown into this Prana-nirodha hell. In this hell servants of Yamaraj pierce their bodies with arrows. They cry restlessly for help but nobody listen as all are crying.

17.Visasan hell : Who goes to this hell? On this earth those who slaughter animals in sacrifices performed for mere show to deceived others, are thrown into this Visasan hell. Officers of Yamaraj put to great torture and hack to pieces in the other world those hypocrites’

18. Lalabhaksha hell: Who goes to this hell? This hell is river full of semen. Sinful Brahmin, blinded by passion, who causes his wife of his caste to drink his semen and make her drink his fill of that semen, is thrown into this river.

19. Sarameyadana hell : Who goes to this hell? Robbers, Kings, soldiers of Kings‘ Army who resorting to arson and poisoning actually loot villages and companies of merchants traveling together, are thrown into this hell by the servants of God of death. In this hell seven hundred and twenty hounds (dogs for chase) with adamantine teeth munch (chew with relish) the bodies of those who are fallen in this hell. These chasing dogs are servants of Yamaraj. These hounds or chasing dogs represents three hundred and sixty days and the same number of nights constituting a year. They eat flesh of men in this hell who had resorted to arson the Villages and loot the traveling merchants.

20. Avichimat hell.: Who goes to this hell? Persons who speak lie while giving evidence in the court of law (law suit), in buying and selling the goods or while making gift, on any account whatsoever. They are hurled or thrown headlong after death into this Avichimat hell from a mountain-top ( a hundred yojanas high). When they thrown from mountain there is no support to stand upon because of the steep nature of mountain. There land with a rocky surface appears like water but not water there. So this hell is called Avichimat hell having no water. In this hell man does not die even his body continues to be shattered to minute particles and falls down the moment he is lifted up to the mountain-top again. Liars get such a punishment in this hell.

21.Ayahpana hell : Who goes to this hell? If a Brahmin of priestly class or his wife or anyone observing a sacred vow actually drinks wine due to perversity (peevishness) are thrown into this hell. If a Kshatriya belonging to ruling or warrior class, or Vaisya belonging to the trading ( business class) and agricultural classes) drinks the extract of the soma plant, are thrown into this hell. In this Ayapana hell servant of Yamaraj pour iron melted with fire into their mouths pressing their bosom (heart) with their foot.

22. Ksharakardama hell: Who goes to this hell? One who is from lowest strata of society but refuses to respect his superiors in pedigree, austerity, learning, pious conduct, Varna (grade in society) and Ashrama ( stage of life) is as good as dead body. He is thrown into this hell. Indeed he suffers in terminable tortures when thrown into this hell after death.

23. Rakshogana-bhojana hell : Who goes to this hell? Those who propitiate Goddess Bhadra kali, The God Bhairava and other deities by actually sacrificing human beings to them and women who eat the meat of such human victims are thrown into this hell. And the men slaughtered like beasts are reborn as torturing agents in the form of troops of Raksasas in the abode of Yamaraj known as Raksoganbhojana hell. They cut those men and women into slices with their sword like butchers, drink their hot blood and dance and sing in great merriment even as those men and women who ate the meat of their human victims on the earth.

24. Sulaprota hell : Who goes to this hell? Those who torture innocent creatures in the woods or in their villages. Innocent creatures are anxious to survive; inspire them with confidence by various kinds of allurement. When they come near; and treating them as playthings thereafter they are transfixed with an iron pin or tied with a thread, they are tortured. These people who torture innocent animals, are thrown into this hell. They are also tortured by Yamaraj in the same way they tortured innocent creatures. After death they are tormented with hunger and thirst and assailed on every side at every step by buzzards, quails and other birds with pointed bills.

25. Dandasuka hell : Who goes to this hell? Those who are fierce by nature like serpents and actually molest living beings on the earth, after death they fall into the hell called Dandasuka. Serpents with five and even more heads approach and devour them as they would devour rats.

26. Avata-nirodhana hell: Who goes to this hell? Persons who shut up living beings on this earth in dark holes, granaries and caves etc., are thrown into this hell. Servants of Yamaraj also thrust them into dark holes, granaries and caves and confine them there with poisonous fire and smoke.

27. Paryavartana hell : Who goes to this hell? Persons who are sinful-eyes householders and full of wrath, look on strangers or other known visitors with a malicious eye again and again as if he would actually burn them, are thrown into this hell. In this hell Vultures, buzzards, crows, quails and other birds with adamantine bills forcible pluck out their eyes with great might.

28. Suchimukha hell : Who goes to this hell? Those who are proud of their opulence and full of egotism look askance at others and distrusts all including their elders. Their hearts and face withering through anxiety about their wealth being exhausted or lost and themselves knowing no peace of minds, guard their treasure like a devil. They accumulate sins in the process of earning, augmenting and preserving wealth. Consequently, after death they fall into this Suchimukha hell. In this hell servants of Yamaraj like tailors stitch all over the body of these sinful men, clinging to wealth like a demon. Sri Suka deva Maharaj described about these hells in Srimad Bhagavatam (5/26/5-37) to King Parikshit

Further Sri Sukadeva maharaj said, O King ! Parikshit

Evam vidha narka yamalaye santi
shatashah sahastrashastesu sarvesu
cha sarvam evayadharm-vartino

There are hundreds and thousands hells in the abode of Yamaraj. Here only important hells have been described. Those who follow path of unrighteousness fall into these hells ; and those who follow the path of virtue enter heaven or other good regions. With the residue of both virtue and sin when the fruit of the bulk of their stock has been reaped they both (virtuous as well as the sinful return to this land of Bharatavarsa ( land of rebirth).

Those who hear legends of Vedas, Puranas, Gita with firm faith and reverence, are capable of destroying all their sins. After hearing glories of God they repeat with devotion never go to hells nor dare the servants of Yamaraj look at them .

This hell has circumference of ten thousand Yojanas. Mind and body are tormented with hunger and thirst, yet man continues to stay there for as many thousand years as there are hair on the body of beast .

Even after following these varna-ashram social – tradition, if a man inflicts pain on the creatures whose means of living is sucking the human blood determined by God Himself, he goes to this hell.

If one does not follow all these rules he goes to Krimibhojan hell. It is worst hell. Man is born in this hell as a worm in a pool full of worms. This hell is a hundred thousand Yojanain in extent.

Rig Veda to particle physics

– Hymn on creation steers Indian’s hunt for Higgs boson
Vivek Sharma talks at CERN about the search for the Higgs boson

New Delhi, Dec. 13: Physicist Vivek Sharma who was born in Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and now leads an international group hunting for the Higgs boson sees the search as an attempt to seek out answers to questions posed in the Rig Veda.

Sharma, who went to a Kendriya Vidyalaya in Pune and pursued master’s in physics at the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, says he was drawn to experimental particle physics after learningRig Veda hymns from his mother, a Sanskrit scholar. The ancient text has a hymn on creation that speculates on the origin of the universe and describes a period when “all that existed was void and formless”.

“It was a shock, it left an impression in my mind. Thousands of years ago people were contemplating our origins,” said Sharma, a professor at the University of California, San Diego, and head of a Higgs search team at CERN, the European research laboratory.

He was still a high school student but began thinking how modern technology might be used to probe creation. The Higgs boson, the subatomic particle that Sharma and his colleagues are looking for, was predicted in the 1960s to explain the origin of mass.

A discovery of the Higgs boson is important for physicists because it is the last missing, or unseen, piece of a bedrock theory of physics called the Standard Model that explains all the forces and particles in nature except gravity.

Sharma moved to the US in 1984, treating higher studies in the US as a route to plunge into experimental physics requiring expensive machines — particle accelerators — but spent five years at CERN in the early 1990s where he discovered two new subatomic particles, including a cousin of the proton, but five times heavier.

His enthusiasm for experimental physics emerges in his talks — whether delivered to fellow-physicists or aspiring students. It also appears to temper any emotions that might spring each time particle detectors at CERN spot signals resembling traces of the Higgs boson.

“Experiments will ultimately tell us what is right and what is wrong,” he said. In the coming months, Sharma and his colleagues will refine their analyses and combine the data from the two main particle detectors looking for the Higgs boson.

“Our curiosity about our origins doesn’t change anybody’s life, but there is a satisfaction from understanding such things,” Sharma said in a telephone interview ahead of the CERN seminar where scientists presented their latest results from the Higgs search.

“But when we build machines like the Large Hadron Collider (the particle accelerator at CERN where proton-proton collisions are used to search for the Higgs boson), it requires us to invent new technologies that can change people’s lives,” he said.

The World Wide Web was created at CERN to help physicists move data around between different computers in a seamless fashion. “It’s a great example of how something that is good for physicists turned out to be fantastic for the public,” Sharma said.

New technologies and ideas that are born in experimental physics laboratories may have implications in information technology and medicine. “Our goals are esoteric, but what sometimes comes out benefits the public,” he said.

Sharma, whose routine in recent years has been eight weeks at CERN and 10 to 15 days with his wife and 7-year-old daughter in San Diego, is also keen on drawing more students to physics.

His homepage has a link to a talk he once delivered to prospective students and their parents. “The popular belief that physicists do not make much money is totally false,” the link says. “Physics majors make more money than chemistry or bio majors.”

Killing of Gaumata/cow slaughtering.

In National on April 25, 2012 at 6:16 pm

Do u know that the biggest cow slaughterhouse (cow killing factory) in the WORLD is located just 30 km from hyderabad .in rudraram village near patencharuvu ..it is called alkabir in 400 acres of land with high security and many of the workers are hindus .

al-Kabeer Exports Pvt Ltd
Rudraram Village,Andhra Pradesh,Patancheru Medak, Hyderabad, 500033

the story of alkabir hyderabad Tyranny: Don’t think that these animals are killed easily and painlessly. Their agonies start long before they are dead. They are brought to Alkabir in trucks, from far away distances. For economy, 20-25 huge buffalos are stacked up in each truck. Nobody cares to feed them food, or even water while in transit. They are packed so tightly in the truck, that they are hurt by each other. By the time they arrive, they are no more capable of standing on their own feet! They are moved with force of whips . . .

They are brought into the final ground, where at least a thousand animals are stored. This is their last open air. They are kept here for four days, hungry and thirsty. Then their legs are broken and eyes poked, so that a ‘certificate’ can be obtained about their uselessness. The hunger and thirst of four days cause the hemoglobin to move from blood in to fat. The meat with higher hemoglobin fetches better prices.

Now these animals are pushed into washing showers. Extremely hot water (200 degrees!) is sprayed on them for five minutes, to soften their skins, so they will be easy to remove. The animal faints at this point, but it is not dead yet.

Now it is hung upside down with one leg, on a chain-pulley conveyor. Then half of the neck is slit. This drains the blood, but does not kill the animal. After death, the skin swells thick, which sells for a poor price. But the skin of a live animal is still thin, which has better economic value. On one side the blood is dripping from the neck, and on the other side a hole is made in stomach, from which air is pumped inside. This causes the body to swell, making it easier to peel the skin. After removing the leather, the animal is cut into four pieces: head, legs, body, and tail. The machines remove bones, and pack small pieces of meat into cans for shipping to Alkabir’s headquarters in Hyderabad. From there it is shipped to Mumbai for exporting to its final destination.

Personnel? Most of the people working here are Hindus. The Director, Subhash Sabarwal, is an NRI in Dubai, and his brother, Satish Sabarwal, manages the plant. The other principals are Ghulam Mohammed Sheikh (Dubai), Dilip Himmat Kothari, B.N. Raman, etc. Even though the main workers on cutting machines are from Kerala and Muslims from Mumbai, the administration, security, etc. consists mainly of Hindus. There are several other equally large (or larger) plants in India, owned and operated similarly by NRI’s and Arab citizens in cooperation.

The people working here are paid very handsomely. This is a big attraction. A monthly salary of Rs. 50,000 to 75,000 is common. At the site, there are many veterinarians, but their job is not to save healthy lives. Their only concern is to see that the meat does not carry any germs which may hurt the customers. In fact, there is a small army of government veterinarians, whose job is to see that healthy and useful animals do not get butchered. But these corrupt officials write false certificates according to wishes of Alkabir.

You cannot easily enter Alkabir, because outside people are not allowed in there. Even the local veterinarians and police cannot go inside, so there is no question about the other local poor people even coming close to its boundaries . . . Security is tightened at nights with hunting dogs. Now the neighboring people do not even come close to it.

Vande GAU Mataram jai veer dada jasraj

In National on April 14, 2012 at 5:37 pm

Rana Jasraj was elevated to the name Veer Dada Jasraj and he was worshiped as kuladevata by the Lohana caste. In memory of Jasraj, Vasant Panchami (the fifth day of the spring season as per the Hindu calendar) is celebrated as a balidan (martyr day) of Veer Dada Jasraj.

Veer Dada Jasraj is a deity worshiped by LohanaBhanushaliKhati Brahmin, and Saraswat Brahmin community of PanjabSindh,Gujratof Indian Subcontinent.

As per their folk tales, Jasraj, who lived around between 1205 and 1231, was at his wedding mandap when he came to know that enemies were taking away cows, the holy animal worshipped by Hindus. he left his feras and went after enemies to save cows. He was assisted in war even by his own sister Harkor. Although, the enemy from Kabul was eventually defeated, and Jashraj became victorious, he was killed as a result of an enemy strategem. He has ever since been worshiped by Lohanas and Bhanushalis as Veer Dada Jasraj and his sister Harkor Pabaru is worshiped as kuladevi by the Lohana clan.

However, Lohanas today consider Dada Jasraj as their folk-deity or kuladevata and there is a custom to give offerings to the idol of Dada Jasraj, who is shown riding a horse, such as some dates and jaggery. Newlywed brides offer these to Dada Jasraj wearing colorful clothes. Previously it was prescribed to wear only white clothes, while offering puja, but this is a custom which now Lohanas have almost forgotten.
